With nearly 70,000 members, the American Dietetic Association
is the world's largest organization of food and nutrition
professionals. A leading source for nutrition information,
ADA promotes optimal nutrition, health and well-being to
the public. ADA is headquartered in Chicago. In addition,
ADA also has government affairs offices in Washington, D.C.
In an effort to educate consumers on the importance of home
food safety, the American Dietetic Association and the ConAgra
Foods Foundation have joined together for a multi-year national
public awareness campaign called Home
Food Safety...It's in Your Hands®.
Spokesperson Network
Recognized as "the food and nutrition
experts," ADA's
national spokesperson network consists of 30 registered dietitians
who voluntarily speak on behalf of ADA in the top 25 media
markets across the country.
On average, ADA spokespeople conduct nearly 200 interviews
each month with local/national print and broadcast media.
All ADA spokespeople are available for interviews regarding
food safety, as well as other food and nutrition topics.
